Job summary

Eide Bailly seeks a People Operations Compliance Manager to lead the HR compliance function across the United States. The role focuses on ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, guiding policy administration, and coordinating risk management with a focus on leave and accommodation programs.

You’ll work with legal, payroll, benefits, and HR leaders to implement compliant programs, conduct workplace investigations, and roll out required trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, Legal Studies or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience with responsibility for compliance, employee relations, policy administration, HR operations, leave administration, or workplace accommodations.
• HR certification such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including FMLA, ADA, EEOC, wage-and-hour.

Responsibilities

• Lead the firm’s HR compliance function, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Provide strategic guidance on employment practices, policy administration, risk management, leave administration, and accommodation processes.
• Oversee compliance audits and reviews related to wage and hour, employee classifications, and recordkeeping.
• Partner with legal to ensure employment documents comply with laws.
• Oversee regulatory reporting, compliance documentation, and confidential records.
• Develop and deliver compliance-related training and annual state compliance training with Learning & Development.
• Identify compliance risks, analyze trends, and recommend corrective actions and improvements.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert and provide consultation to HR teams and leaders on sensitive compliance matters.
