Job summary

Transportation Insight is seeking a senior HR Compliance professional to lead regulatory compliance across the organization. You will partner with HR colleagues and business leaders to evaluate, prioritize, and mitigate employment compliance matters, improving risk identification and mitigation.

You'll design programs for federal, state, and local requirements (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, FCRA), develop and update HR policies, and train managers on employment regulations. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or Business Administration preferred, or equivalent HR certifications.
• 5+ years experience as an HR professional, minimum of 3 years in employment law and compliance.
• Experience with multi-site, multi-state responsibility and support.
• Thorough knowledge of employment regulations including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, FCRA.
• Broad knowledge of HR areas: leave management, recruitment, performance, labor relations and compliance.
• Working knowledge of Workday and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR regulatory compliance efforts by designing and implementing practices to ensure organization-wide compliance.
• Collaborate with functional leads to ensure employment processes, data management, and reporting meet standards.
• Design and develop programs to maintain compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
• Manage revisions and updates to HR policies and procedures across the company.
• Train HR teams and managers on employment regulations and HR policies.
• Develop affirmative action programs and file EEO-1 annually; maintain related records.
• Coordinate with Talent Acquisition on affirmative action, applicant tracking and related processes.
• Ensure I-9s and documentation are compliant and maintained.
• Prepare and track severance agreements; assist with requests from agencies and legal counsel.
• Support audits, investigations, and legal counsel on employment claims.
• Maintain logs of claims and respond to subpoenas and requests for personnel records.
• Support SOX controls for payroll and HR functions; coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
• Work with business-unit HR leaders to audit compliance processes.
