Job summary

Eide Bailly seeks a People Operations Compliance Manager to lead the HR compliance function, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local laws while guiding policy administration and risk management. The role collaborates with Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and HR leaders to maintain compliant programs and drive training and audits across the organization.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in a related field and 7+ years of progressive HR experience with compliance; CA/WA experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years HR experience with compliance, employee relations, policy administration, HR operations, leave administration, or workplace accommodations.
• HR certification such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws including FMLA, ADA, EEOC, wage/hour.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HR compliance programs, policies, procedures to mitigate risk.
• Monitor and interpret employment laws; implement policy updates.
• Provide guidance on employment law, policy interpretation, employee relations, investigations, compliance.
• Oversee leave management and accommodation programs; manage team.
• Lead compliance audits and wage/hour reviews; ensure accuracy.
• Partner with legal to ensure employment documents comply with laws.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and confidential records.
• Collaborate with HR leaders to align programs and practices.
• Develop and deliver compliance training; annual state training rollout.
• Identify compliance risks; analyze trends; recommend improvements.
• Serve as SME; provide consultation on complex compliance matters.
