The Lighthouse of Houston is seeking a Human Resources Intern for a two-month summer assignment in Houston, TX. You will shadow the HR Director, support policy administration, and help with onboarding and data entry in HRIS.

• Assist with HR policy and procedural management to help ensure organizational compliance.
• Assist with EEOC compliance and government reporting.
• Assist with performance management processes and evaluations.
• Assist with onboarding and off-boarding processes.
• Collaborate with other departments on HR projects and initiatives.
• Update and maintain employee records and generate HRIS reports.
• Conduct HR research and suggest improvements.
• Assist with benefits administration and employee communications.
• Assist with employee relations issues and investigations.
• Assist with full life cycle recruiting including job postings and offers.
• Help plan job fairs and professional development programs.
• Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and programs.
• Assist with training documentation in the HRIS.
• Perform other general HR duties.
