Job summary

Austin Industrial is offering a 2027 Summer Internship in Human Resources, based in the Houston area with assignment in La Porte, TX. This paid, 12-week program runs May 17 to August 6, 2027 and is open to current juniors or seniors pursuing an HR degree. interns will gain hands-on experience and exposure to multiple HR functions.

You'll support day-to-day HR activities, learn recruitment, records management, training coordination, and project work while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Active junior or senior in a Human Resources degree program.
• Must maintain 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day HR activities and administrative support.
• Maintain employee records and HR systems with confidentiality.
• Conduct research to identify process improvements for HR objectives.
• Support employee engagement, training, benefits administration, and other HR tasks.
• Gain exposure to recruitment, compensation, compliance, and workforce planning.
• Participate in meetings and projects to understand business operations.
• Complete a final internship project with actionable improvements.
