Job summary

Insperity is seeking an experienced HR Generalist in California to drive staffing, recruitment, payroll administration, and policy implementation. The role requires strong knowledge of federal and state regulations, sound judgment, and a passion for fostering a thriving workplace.

The HR Generalist will collaborate with the HR Director, develop compliant HR practices, and support organizational development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years HR experience, CA focus.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification, or ability to obtain within year.
• Experience with a PPO and knowledge of state/federal regulations.
• Ability to lead through influence; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing, recruitment, and onboarding in partnership with leadership.
• Manage payroll administration and timekeeping in coordination with Finance.
• Ensure compliance with CA wage/hour laws and HR policies.
• Develop and implement HR tools, processes, and org development strategies.
• Provide employee relations guidance and conduct investigations as needed.
