Job summary

Family Tree Relief Nursery seeks an HR Generalist to manage HR practices, advise leaders and staff, and oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, benefits, records, and compliance.

Reporting to the Executive Director, this role partners with program leaders to plan staffing, strengthen engagement, develop policies, and supervise the HR Coordinator on HR projects while upholding confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR/related field required (minimum 5 years HR exp).
• Experience advising supervisors on HR practices; supervision preferred.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, applicant-tracking or similar systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, judgment, organization, problem solving, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Advise executives and staff on HR practices and employee relations matters.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies, forms, and job descriptions.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance management processes.
• Manage HR records and HRIS data; ensure confidentiality and compliance.
• Coordinate with payroll and benefits, and support HR projects as needed.
