Family Tree Relief Nursery is seeking an onsite Human Resources Generalist in Albany, OR to strengthen HR practices and handle sensitive people matters with care and confidentiality.

You will lead recruiting, onboarding, performance processes, employee relations, and ensure HR compliance while advising leaders, coordinating with partners, and supporting projects led by the Executive Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, organizational development, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of progressively responsible HR experience including employee relations, recruitment, and benefits.
• Experience advising supervisors on HR practices; supervisory background preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, judgment, organization, problem-solving, and project-management skills.

Responsabilités

• Advise leaders and staff on HR practices, workplace expectations, performance, and employee-relations matters.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies, forms, and job descriptions; update as needed.
• Monitor changes in employment requirements and coordinate with legal, payroll, benefits, or advisors.
• Partner with leaders to anticipate staffing needs and support recruitment, selection, and retention.
• Oversee recruitment and hiring to ensure timely, mission-aligned processes.
• Guide onboarding and orientation to ensure understanding of responsibilities and policies.
• Manage employee relations matters and workplace investigations from intake to resolution.
• Administer leave of absence programs and reasonable accommodation processes.
• Support supervisors with performance and conduct concerns, with executive input when needed.
• Administer the performance-management process with supervisor guidance and follow-up.
• Promote learning and development through training and coaching.
• Oversee personnel records and HRIS data security; protect confidential information.
• Coordinate HR administration related to benefits, leave, and payroll; assist with payroll delivery.
• Manage HR vendor relationships, contracts, and projects within budget.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and technology usage.
• Provide direction and quality control for HR Coordinator work and reporting.
• Prepare HR reports and staffing updates for the Executive Director.
• Escalate significant concerns promptly to leadership and advisors.
• Contribute to organizational planning and participate in meetings and events.
• Perform other duties consistent with the position’s purpose.
