The HR Generalist at Palacios Marine & Industrial, Inc. supports day-to-day HR services across the organization, including benefits, retirement plan coordination, lifecycle changes, leave administration, terminations, employee relations, compliance documentation, and HR systems administration.

The role works with employees and managers on routine HR matters, manages assigned responsibilities independently, and escalates complex issues to HR leadership as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive human resources experience.
• Experience with benefits administration and 401(k).
• Experience handling employee relations, leave administration, and terminations.
• Experience with HRIS systems and reporting.

Aufgaben

• Respond to HR questions and coordinate follow-up as needed.
• Administer benefits, 401(k), PTO, leave, and eligibility processes.
• Process lifecycle changes: onboarding, pay changes, supervisor updates, terminations.
• Support employee relations by gathering facts and maintaining case records.
• Coordinate payroll and timekeeping matters, including deductions and PTO changes.
• Maintain compliance records, I-9s, background checks, and audit docs.
• Assist recruiting, onboarding completion, rehires, and accurate records.
• Run HR reports and prepare data for management reporting.
• Maintain HR forms, communications, and training materials.
• Support HR systems changes and assist with launches; provide summaries to leadership.
• Attend meetings and perform other HR duties as assigned.
