Job summary

Public Agency Retirement Services (PARS) is seeking an HR Generalist to administer a wide range of HR functions supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, leave management, performance, and compliance.

The role partners with the VP of Corporate, ensures confidentiality, and contributes to continuous improvement of HR practices to maintain a positive, compliant work environment. This is an on-site position in Newport Beach, CA.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting and onboarding: manage full-cycle recruiting, screening, interviews, offer process and onboarding tasks.
• Payroll: own end-to-end payroll processing for semi-monthly and bi-weekly cycles and related inquiries.
• Benefits and leave administration: manage benefits elections, open enrollment, leaves, COBRA info, and carriers.
• Performance management: assist VP with reviews, goals, documentation, and improvement plans.
• Employee support: act as first contact for routine questions and maintain confidentiality.
• Compliance and HRIS management: maintain personnel files, enter updates in HRIS, audit for compliance.
