Palacios Marine & Industrial, Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist to support the day-to-day delivery of HR services across the organization.

The role focuses on benefits coordination, retirement plan support, employee lifecycle changes, leave administration, terminations, and HR systems administration. You will work with employees and managers on routine matters, manage assigned responsibilities, and escalate complex issues to HR leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive human resources experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
• Experience with benefits administration, employee lifecycle processes, HR records, and general HR practices.
• Experience supporting employee relations, leave administration, terminations, and other core HR functions.

Responsabilités

• Respond to employee and manager HR questions, resolve routine matters, and coordinate follow-up as needed.
• Administer employee benefits, 401(k), PTO, leave of absence, and eligibility-related processes.
• Process employee lifecycle changes, including onboarding, pay changes, supervisor updates, and terminations.
• Support employee relations by gathering facts, maintaining case records, and preparing routine documentation.
• Coordinate HR-related payroll and timekeeping matters, including deductions and PTO setup.
• Maintain HR compliance records, notices, certifications, I-9, background checks, and audit documentation.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, rehires, and accurate employee records.
• Run HR reports, reconcile exceptions, maintain trackers, and prepare HR metrics.
• Maintain HR forms, guides, communications, and training materials.
• Support HR systems and process improvements by testing workflows and documenting changes.
• Provide HR leadership with case summaries and follow-up as needed.
• Participate in meetings and other HR duties as assigned.
