Job summary

Habasit America Inc is hiring a Generalist, Human Resources in Middletown, CT. The role supports day-to-day HR operations, recruitment, onboarding, HRIS data entry, and compliance with employment laws.

The HR Generalist collaborates with employees and managers on performance reviews, talent development, and engagement initiatives while assisting with training, reporting, and safety coordination to maintain a productive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Psychology, Human Resources, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ progressive experience in HR disciplines supporting both white and blue collar environments.
• Solid knowledge of employment laws (EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA).
• Experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
• Proficiency in HRIS data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries about HR policies and programs.
• Support recruitment including posting jobs, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, onboarding new hires.
• Administer HRIS data entry and employee file maintenance.
• Oversee employee relations and conduct preliminary investigations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Partner with managers to facilitate performance reviews and development plans.
• Support training initiatives and coordinate learning programs.
• Generate HR metrics reports to guide decisions.
• Assist with safety and payroll-related processes as needed.
