Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Generalist in Human Resources to support full HR operations across onboarding, compliance, benefits and safety. The role engages with the Operations team to guide policy adherence and maintain a union-free environment.

The successful candidate will manage employee relations, maintain files, coordinate leave programs, and contribute to HR metrics. A Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years HR experience are expected, with flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• 2-3 years progressive HR experience.
• Experience with HRIS and time/attendance systems.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment and benefits laws.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Inform management of HR developments affecting effectiveness.
• Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding.
• Maintain personnel files and training materials, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Manage leave programs (FMLA, disability, workers’ comp) with leave administrator.
• Implement HR metrics to measure performance.
• Support performance management and terminations in partnership with HR and Legal.
• Support HR Customer service hours and Employee Relations.
• Contribute to site Community Activities Planning Team.
