Job summary

Plasman is seeking a Human Resources Generalist in Fort Payne, Alabama. The role analyzes HR data, administers payroll and benefits, maintains personnel records, and supports employee relations and onboarding.

The successful candidate will manage HRIS data, coordinate training, drive performance management, and assist with compliance and safety initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or equivalent; HR designation preferred or relevant work experience.
• 5–8 years of HR experience with payroll exposure; strong integrity and judgment.
• Ability to build trust and relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Analytical, research and problem-solving skills; able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills; manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support HR Manager in daily HR operations, including employee relations and recruitment.
• Administer benefits, payroll, timekeeping and attendance management.
• Maintain accurate HRIS data and personnel records; ensure compliant documentation.
• Coordinate training needs, performance management, and employee development.
• Assist with job descriptions, compensation analytics, and onboarding procedures.
• Support health and safety initiatives and employee engagement activities.
• Conduct new-hire orientation and maintain records for audits and reporting.
• Produce attendance reports and monitor turnover trends for retention improvements.
