Job summary

Columbus Brewing Company is seeking an HR Generalist to own day-to-day HR operations, payroll, compliance, benefits, and team member relations. You will report to the President and partner with managers to align HR with business goals.

We value hospitality-driven teams and seek someone who can manage payroll accurately, administer benefits, and coach managers to build strong, capable teams across CBC locations.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years of relevant HR experience.
• Payroll & benefits know-how: wage & hour law and benefits administration.
• Independent judgment: comfortable owning day-to-day HR decisions.
• Systems-minded: quickly learns HR tools and processes.
• Coaches managers: helps leaders develop their teams.
• Hourly workforce experience is a strong plus.
• EOS experience is a strong plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; SHRM-CP/PHR a plus.

Responsibilities

• Payroll & Compliance: run payroll accurately every cycle and ensure wage & hour compliance.
• Benefits Administration: own enrollment, eligibility, and vendor relationships.
• Employee Lifecycle: recruit, onboard, and offboard with consistent processes.
• Employee Relations: serve as the go-to resource for day-to-day questions and conflicts.
• Compliance & Risk Management: manage unemployment, workers’ comp, OSHA, and postings.
• HR Operations & Reporting: maintain records and deliver HR reports to leadership.
