Job summary

Capstone Logistics LLC is seeking an HR Generalist to support staffing, onboarding, and HR operations across our growing organization. The role focuses on recruiting efforts, orientations, and employee relations to ensure a positive candidate and staff experience.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and 1+ years of progressive HR generalist experience in a fast-paced setting, with strong communication and knowledge of employment laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 1+ years of progressive HR generalist experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Working knowledge of relevant employment laws and policies.
• Experience recruiting, conducting orientations, or supporting onboarding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite recruiting efforts, including hiring events, candidate screenings, and interviews to support staffing needs.
• Guide candidates throughout the hiring and onboarding process by communicating next steps, assisting with required documentation, and providing an exceptional candidate experience.
• Facilitate and conduct new hire orientations, ensuring associates are prepared and informed before their start date.
• Partner with operations and recruiting teams to ensure hiring goals and workforce needs are met.
• Handle assigned tasks via ticketing system, hotline cases, background checks, I-9s, and other HR activities.
• Perform associate relations activities including coaching, conflict resolution, performance issues, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
• Process transactions via HCM and other HR systems. Train managers on HCM best practices when appropriate.
• Facilitate the deployment and delivery of existing and new HR programs, processes, and policies.
• Analyze issues, resolve problems, and propose solutions.
• Administer and advise on PTO.
• Understand and help others interpret company policies and federal and state laws.
• Assess the efficiency of current HR activities and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and decrease "busy work" whenever possible.
• Answer questions and resolve associate concerns.
• Handle special projects as needed.
