Job summary

HDR is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the Area HR Manager and teams in San Francisco. The role focuses on onboarding, employee records, policy guidance, and coordination with Payroll, Benefits, and Recruiting.

You will support diversity and inclusion initiatives, develop training programs, and help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. The position is based in San Francisco with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years related experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication including proofreading.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• PHR, SHRM-CP Certification or similar HR Certification

Responsibilities

• Assist the Area HR Manager and area HR team with HR-related tasks.
• Use corporate systems to maintain employee records and process personnel actions.
• Coordinate and conduct new hire Onboarding and Offboarding.
• Monitor onboarding activities and required training.
• Provide guidance on company policies, procedures and HR practices.
• Partner with Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, and other HR functions to resolve questions.
