Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist in Charlotte, NC to manage the full employee life cycle and provide expert HR guidance to a diverse workforce. You will ensure policy consistency, handle employee relations, and coordinate compensation market studies.

You will use HRIS for transactions, support benefits and leaves, onboard/offboard employees, and collaborate with the Area HR Manager to maintain an inclusive culture and strong team dynamics.

Qualifications

• At least three years of related HR experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Excellent verbal and written communication and proofreading.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• In-office 4-5 days per week; Charlotte, NC location.

Responsibilities

• Support the full employee life cycle in the NC Area with excellent customer service.
• Ensure fair and consistent application of HDR policies and procedures.
• Handle employee relations and performance management questions, including PIP creation and coaching.
• Coordinate compensation market studies with managers, Area HR Manager, and corporate HR.
• Utilize HRIS to process personnel transactions, generate reports, and support HR operations.
• Assist with HDR benefit plans, leaves, and ADA accommodations; refer complex questions to managers/partners.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding and oversee completion of paperwork.
• Collaborate with the Area HR Manager to maintain a positive team environment.
• Assist with professional development training for staff.
• Support diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and NC Area internship program.
• Work with recruiting to create/open requisitions; other duties as assigned.
