Mizkan America, Inc. in Owensboro, KY, is seeking an HR Generalist to join the on-site manufacturing team; you will support employee relations, recruiting, benefits, leave administration, compliance and HR operations for 400+ employees.

This role requires a blended background in HR with strong judgment, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset; the position offers on-site work with occasional off-shift support and opportunities to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of HR experience or Master’s with 2+ years.
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience is noted as an option.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Experience with HRIS platforms; Workday preferred.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
• Manufacturing experience with large populations and shifts preferred.
• On-site role with flexibility for scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR resource for employee inquiries, concerns, conflict resolutions.
• Conduct investigations in collaboration with the HR Manager.
• Coach and guide managers and leaders across the site.
• Manage full-cycle recruiting for salaried roles and assist hourly recruiting.
• Support onboarding, HRIS entry, orientation, and new-hire documentation.
• Manage termination, unemployment claims, and related updates.
• Coordinate benefits questions, enrollment, and open enrollment activities.
• Oversee FMLA, LOA, and ADA accommodation processes.
• Support payroll processes, timekeeping audits, and payroll backups.
