Job summary

Gilder Search Group is partnering with an established Owensboro manufacturing organization to fill a Human Resources Manager role. This on-site leadership position oversees a two-shift operation of ~700 employees with an HR team of 10–11 professionals.

The role blends employment law, analytics, and business partnership to drive workforce planning, compliance, and leadership development in a data-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive HR experience in manufacturing
• 3+ years of leadership/management experience
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
• Experience with HR analytics and metrics
• Experience with HR systems (Paycom)
• Excellent coaching and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Lead HR and Organizational Development functions and develop the HR team
• Advise manufacturing leaders on employee relations, investigations, and compliance
• Apply employment law to daily decisions and escalate when needed
• Coach managers through difficult employee situations and explain actions
• Use HR data and analytics to identify trends and support decisions
• Develop and present HR metrics to executives in actionable form
• Use Excel and analytics tools to analyze workforce data
• Lead workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, development and retention
• Strengthen succession planning and leadership development
• Oversee performance management to support a high-performance culture
• Identify training needs in employment law, compliance, and leadership
• Improve HR initiatives using engagement metrics and data
