Job summary

Palmetto Air & Water Balance is seeking an HR Generalist to join our team. This role supports employees and leadership across multiple states, administering HR policies, programs, and procedures.

The ideal candidate will handle employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, and benefits administration in a fast-paced environment. Compliance, performance management, and employee engagement are key focus areas for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
• 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar role.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA).
• Experience supporting HR across multiple locations or states is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Employee relations: serve as primary contact for questions and guidance on policies.
• Recruitment & talent acquisition: manage full-cycle recruitment and interviews.
• Onboarding & offboarding: coordinate documentation, background checks and benefits enrollment.
• HR administration & recordkeeping: maintain confidential records and HR databases.
• Benefits administration: assist with enrollment, changes, and open enrollment.
• Payroll & timekeeping support: assist with payroll-related activities and time records.
• Compliance & policy administration: ensure compliance with laws and update handbooks.
• Performance management: assist evaluations and disciplinary processes.
• Employee engagement & retention: support culture and development initiatives.
• Leave administration: coordinate FMLA and other leaves.
• Training & development: coordinate training programs and track completion.
• Multi-state HR support: provide HR support across locations.
• HR reporting & process improvement: prepare reports and improve processes.
