Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related matters. Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding company policies, workplace expectations, and employee relations issues.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting initial interviews, coordinating interviews with hiring managers, and facilitating the hiring process.
Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate new employee onboarding, including new hire documentation, employment verification, background checks, orientation, and benefits enrollment. Manage employee separation processes, including exit documentation and final employment records.
HR Administration & Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, personnel files, and HR databases. Ensure employee information is current and properly documented in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Benefits Administration: Assist employees with benefits enrollment, eligibility, changes, and general inquiries. Coordinate with benefits providers and assist with annual open enrollment and ongoing benefits administration.
Payroll & Timekeeping Support: Assist with payroll-related activities, including reviewing employee timekeeping records, processing personnel changes, tracking paid time off, and coordinating with payroll personnel to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Compliance & Policy Administration: Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Assist in maintaining and updating employee handbooks, HR policies, procedures, and required employment documentation.
Performance Management: Assist managers with employee performance evaluations, documentation, disciplinary processes, and performance improvement initiatives. Promote consistent application of company policies and procedures.
Employee Engagement & Retention: Support initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture, employee satisfaction, professional development, and long-term employee retention.
Leave Administration: Coordinate employee leave requests, including FMLA, medical leave, personal leave, and other applicable leave programs. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
Training & Development: Coordinate employee training programs, track completion of required training, and assist with professional development initiatives across the organization.
Multi-State HR Support: Provide HR support to employees and management across multiple office locations, ensuring consistent implementation of company policies while accounting for applicable state-specific employment requirements.
HR Reporting & Process Improvement: Prepare and maintain HR reports, monitor workforce trends, and identify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee experiences, and administrative efficiency.
Confidentiality & Professionalism: Handle sensitive employee and company information with discretion, maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist, HR Coordinator, or similar human resources role preferred.
Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and other applicable workplace regulations.
Experience supporting HR functions across multiple locations or states is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with employees and management at all levels.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and payroll platforms preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment when addressing employee concerns and workplace matters.
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Professional HR certification, such as SHRM-CP or PHR, is a plus.
Ability to travel occasionally to company offices or other locations as business needs require.
Primarily office-based position with extended periods of sitting and working at a computer.
Frequent use of hands for typing, handling documents, and operating standard office equipment.
Regular verbal and written communication with employees, managers, and external partners.
Ability to occasionally lift or carry office materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
Travel up to 20% to company locations, recruiting events, or employee training sessions may be required.
Ability to work a standard business schedule, with occasional flexibility to accommodate employee needs, meetings, or business requirements.
