Unknown is seeking an HR Generalist II to oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and broader HR initiatives. The role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and strong customer service skills in a collaborative environment.

Duties include processing payroll, managing benefits programs, handling open enrollment, FMLA, COBRA, and reporting to leadership while maintaining compliant records and supporting employee relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 1-2 years of payroll and benefits experience.
• 2+ years as a Generalist; automotive manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on time for all frequencies.
• Administer all company benefit and insurance programs.
• Manage open enrollment for medical, dental, vision, life and supplemental plans.
• Assist employees with insurance claims and COBRA.
• Manage FMLA with third-party administrator support.
• Handle Short-Term Disability and leave payments.
• Administer Health Savings Account (HSA).
• Prepare and reconcile monthly and insurance billings.
• Report payroll and benefits activity to parent company.
• Process garnishments and child support orders in HRIS.
• Maintain absenteeism reporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
• Communicate payroll and benefits notices timely.
• Ensure local and state compliance of payroll and benefits practices.
• Conduct training related to payroll, benefits, and HR areas.
• Support employee relations, communications, and investigations.
• Track Service Award Program and attendance bonuses.
• Participate in employee engagement initiatives.
• Respond to unemployment insurance claims.
• Maintain confidential payroll and benefits records and respond to inquiries.
