Job summary

Hope Cooperative in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Human Resources Generalist II to administer employee benefits programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and support workforce well-being. You will serve as the benefits liaison, manage enrollments, audits, and communications with carriers, and collaborate with payroll and HRIS teams.

This role requires 3–5 years of benefits administration, knowledge of ACA/ERISA basics, and experience with ADP HRIS. A Bachelor’s in HR or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience administering benefits in HR.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll and ADP HRIS is highly desirable.
• Non-profit or social services experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of ACA, ADA, ERISA, COBRA, FSLA, and wage-and-hour laws.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for benefits inquiries and enrollment.
• Maintain benefit files and HRIS data accuracy; coordinate with carriers.
• Administer benefits enrollments, plan changes, and related communications.
• Coordinate FMLA/CFRA, ADA, and other leave requests with payroll.
• Prepare annual benefit census, discrimination testing, and ACA filings.
• Update benefit-related materials and internal HRIS data.
