Job summary

Sierra Health + Wellness is seeking an HR Generalist to support the HR Director with recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations across our company in California. You will coordinate benefits, manage open enrollment, and ensure compliance with CA and Federal labor laws.

The role requires handling disciplinary actions, maintaining HRIS records, and generating official HR documents. Travel to multiple offices may be required in this office-based environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years HR experience preferred.
• 2+ years payroll processing experience required.
• 1+ years of labor and employee relations experience required.
• Knowledge of CA and Federal labor laws.
• SHRM credential(s) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist HR Director with recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
• Manage benefits enrollment, leave requests, and Open Enrollment.
• Coordinate payroll processing bi-weekly and ensure accuracy.
• Handle disciplinary discussions, investigations, and terminations with sensitivity.
• Educate employees on HR policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Maintain HRIS and ensure compliance with record-keeping standards.
• Generate internal documents like offer letters, salary slips, and warning letters.
• Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all HR activities.
• Support achievement of annual business goals in collaboration with HR Director.
• Travel to multiple offices if needed.
