Job summary

Carney, Sandoe & Associates in Atherton, California, seeks a Human Resources Generalist to support benefits administration, leaves, compliance, onboarding, HRIS data, and HR operations. The role partners with the Director of HR and payroll, finance, and external carriers.

The position emphasizes benefits management, open enrollment, and employee performance data, with a focus on accurate data, audits, and process improvements across HR operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar preferred.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with HR Director to administer employee benefit plans with providers, broker, HRIS and payroll partners.
• Administer daily operation of health, FSA, HSA, commuter, life insurance, and voluntary benefit programs.
• Manage the full life cycle of benefit plan renewals including timelines, contracts, and enrollment.
• Coordinate with broker, carriers, and vendors for annual open enrollment and ongoing benefits administration.
• Serve as primary contact for employee benefit questions and issues; coordinate with brokers or carriers as needed.
• Support employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and termination of coverage.
• Reconcile monthly benefit invoices and deductions; coordinate with Finance on allocations and corrections.
• Coordinate benefits and wellness events, including enrollment meetings and vendor education sessions.
• Support administration of leave programs (FMLA, CFRA, ADA accommodations, etc.) and workers' compensation.
• Plan and coordinate annual new employee orientation and onboarding support; provide payroll data processing backup as needed.
