Job summary

TWB, a Worthington Steel joint venture, is seeking an HR Generalist to act as a close partner to employees and leaders across manufacturing operations. You’ll influence HR programs from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, benefits, payroll, performance management and compliance.

You’ll build relationships across the operation, advise leaders on employment practices, and drive practical solutions that improve the employee experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of HR experience, ideally in manufacturing or operations.
• Broad HR experience across employee relations, recruiting, benefits, payroll and leave administration.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Strong problem solving, conflict resolution and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted HR partner providing guidance on policies, employee relations and performance management.
• Coordinate recruiting and onboarding for hourly and salaried positions.
• Support payroll administration, timekeeping, changes and wage/tax information.
• Administer and support benefit programs, including enrollment and open enrollment.
• Assist with leave programs (FMLA, short-term disability, parental leave) and investigations.
• Develop HR-related training and use data to identify trends and drive improvements.
