Job summary

Hennepin Arts in Minneapolis, MN seeks an experienced HR Generalist to implement programs and policies that foster a productive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment. You will support hiring, onboarding, and DEI initiatives across the organization.

The role reports to the Associate Vice President of Human Resources and requires a track record weaving DEIAB into employee life cycles, with strong coaching, recruitment, and policy experience. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 3–5 years HR experience.
• Proven track record weaving diversity, equity and inclusion into HR programs.
• Strong coaching, recruitment and policy implementation skills.
• Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to work across teams with collaboration and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hiring and onboarding processes and support AVP of HR on projects related to DEIAB.
• Administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, leaves, and training.
• Coach managers on performance, recognition, and disciplinary matters.
• Ensure compliance with training, policies, and employment laws.
• Support payroll processing, open enrollment, and vendor invoices.
