Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Human Resources Generalist for a Twin Cities area organization in Minneapolis, MN. The role supports day-to-day HR operations, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and HR policy interpretation.

You’ll coordinate full-cycle recruiting, facilitate new hire onboarding, and maintain HRIS data while ensuring compliance. A strong, confidential, people-focused HR professional with 3–5 years of experience is ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of HR Generalist/related experience.
• Knowledge of federal and Minnesota employment laws and HR best practices.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with confidentiality.
• Travel between Minnesota locations with a valid driver's license and background check.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR operations and guide employees/managers on HR policies and programs.
• Coordinate full-cycle recruiting, postings, screening, scheduling, references, and onboarding.
• Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding to create a positive experience.
• Assist managers with employee relations, investigations, and policy interpretation.
• Maintain accurate HRIS records and support HR compliance.
• Coordinate benefits administration, leaves of absence, accommodations, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work activities.
• Support performance management, employee engagement, training, and HR process improvements.
