Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
• One year HR experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented with ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Organize open enrollment meetings to discuss insurance options
• Review HR invoices for accuracy
• Assist employees with questions about benefits
• Represent InterConnect Wiring when speaking with insurance companies
• Assist with Workers Compensation Carrier information requests
• Assist in the talent acquisition process to fill openings with qualified individuals
• Complete yearly EEO-1 reporting
• Complete yearly Veteran 4212 reporting
• Maintain OSHA log and reporting
• Process payroll
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Coordinate substance abuse testing, vision exams and hearing exams
• Handle employee complaints and suggestions
• Provide employee pay rate and pay structure information to supervisors
• Maintain charts
• Create new company documents as needed
• Offer ideas for improving processes and update process manuals
• Maintain employee manual
• Update parking assignments as needed
• Complete labor correction tasks when needed
• Provide employment verifications when needed
• Process paperwork according to established procedures
• Handle Texas Workforce Commission claims
• Coordinate the completion of 90 day reviews, yearly reviews, rankings and raises
• Perform other duties as assigned
