Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking an HR Operations leader to own non-trivial, judgment-based functions across multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits escalations. You’ll directly shape handbook updates and audit readiness while guiding the Payroll and HR Administration teams.

You’ll also help design how AI fits into HR ops, reducing busywork and enabling focus on high-impact decisions for a fast-growing, US-wide workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 2 years of real, hands-on HR generalist experience.
• Genuine in-house, multi-state compliance experience.
• Comfortable in a small, high-intensity team where you touch payroll, benefits and compliance yourself.
• Excited to build with AI.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-state compliance tracking, policy updates and implementation across employee classifications and pay ranges.
• Lead the annual compliance audit and handbook refresh from start to finish in your first 90 days.
• Handle escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions needing experienced judgment.
• Review and unblock the work of Payroll and HR Administration colleagues.
• Rearchitect HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset to optimize the function.
