Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking an experienced HR Operations lead to own complex, multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits questions. You will shape HR processes, integrate AI, and drive critical decisions beyond scripting.

You’ll also steer audits and handbook refresh in your first 90 days, while mentoring the Payroll/HR Administration team. You should bring hands-on in-house experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and comfort in a fast-paced small team where you’ll touch payroll, benefits,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of real, hands-on HR generalist experience with policy drafting, payroll, and compliance
• In-house experience handling multi-state compliance and filings
• Comfortable in a small, high-intensity team and taking ownership of payroll, benefits, and compliance decisions
• Excited to build with AI and rethink HR ops processes

Responsibilities

• Own multi-state compliance tracking and policy updates across employee classifications and pay ranges
• Lead annual compliance audit and handbook refresh from start to finish (first 90 days)
• Handle escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions with expert judgment
• Review and unblock work of Payroll and HR Administration teams
• Rearchitect HR ops with an AI-native mindset and evolve daily operations
