Jerry.ai is a remote-first US-based startup redefining how individuals manage their assets. This HR generalist role focuses on multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and handling payroll and benefits with hands-on ownership. You will shape AI-enabled HR operations and drive policy updates across states.

You will lead the handbook refresh, respond to complex escalations, and contribute to a scalable, AI-assisted HR function in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• Hands-on in-house HR operations with multi-state compliance experience.
• Experience drafting policies and handling payroll, benefits, and leave.
• Willing to build with AI and develop AI-native HR processes.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-state compliance: track changes, update policies, ensure implementation across all classifications and pay ranges.
• Lead annual compliance audit and handbook refresh in your first 90 days.
• Handle escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions requiring experienced judgment.
• Review and unblock work of Payroll and HR Administration team members.
• Rearchitect HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset beyond using AI tools.
• Grow into ownership of day-to-day HR operations management over time.
