Job summary

NW Staffing seeks an experienced HR leader to shape strategy and operations for a mission-driven nonprofit in Portland. You will partner with executives to enhance engagement, develop talent, and drive inclusive workplace practices across locations.

The role requires 8+ years in HR with 3+ in leadership, a relevant degree, and strong knowledge of Oregon laws. Salary is competitive with full benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience with 3+ years in leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field; certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and Oregon employment laws and compliance.
• Experience coaching leaders and promoting equitable workplace practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR strategy and operations across multiple locations using data and feedback.
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance, and equitable practices.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, transitions, and development initiatives.
• Manage compensation, benefits, leaves, audits, and payroll coordination with Finance.
• Maintain HR policies, handbook, records, and regulatory compliance.
