New Communities, Inc. (NCI) is seeking a Director of Human Resources to join our Executive Leadership Team in Westbrook, Maine. This role leads HR operations for 350+ staff, shapes strategy, and drives talent initiatives across the nonprofit’s mission-driven programs.

The Director will oversee recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and HR technology, leveraging Paylocity to deliver insights and improve people outcomes. Join a recognized Best Places to Work in Maine employer.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Thorough knowledge of employment laws, regulations, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and performance management.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership andvision for a high-performing HR function.
• Serve on the Executive Leadership Team and advise organizational leaders.
• Develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies for direct care, supervisory, and administrative staff.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations (ADA, FMLA, PFML, ERISA, workers' compensation).
• Oversee employee relations, performance management, investigations, and risk management.
• Administer the 403(b) retirement plan and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead HR policy development, review, and implementation.
• Leverage Paylocity HRIS to improve efficiency and workforce insights.
• Develop HR metrics and KPIs aligned with goals.
• Mentor HR team to deliver exceptional service.
• Be the primary HR contact for regulatory agencies.
