Job summary

NC State Wilson College of Textiles in Raleigh, NC seeks an HR Generalist – HR Data & Operations to manage sensitive employee data within university HR systems and ensure data integrity and security. You will identify process improvements and support HR operations across college functions.

The role covers payroll, leave management, student hiring, and compliance with HR policies, contributing to efficient, accurate records and better service for campus partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience supporting HR data, payroll, and leave workflows is preferred.
• Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and maintain records compliance.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage and audit HR data transactions for new hires, job changes, and lifecycle events.
• Administer payroll and leave processes, review balances, and determine appropriate steps.
• Manage student hiring and graduate appointments, ensuring compliance with university requirements.
• Process summer salary appointments and related compensation transactions.
• Review data/documentation for discrepancies and coordinate resolutions.
• Maintain electronic personnel records and serve as OnBase data custodian.

Education
