Job summary

Big Spring Center for Skilled Care is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resource Coordinator to support HR operations, maintain employee records, manage payroll inquiries, and help enforce policies in a compliant, organized workplace.

You will assist with recruitment, advise on HR policies, and contribute to a smooth employment lifecycle while working closely with managers and staff in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Human Resources and/or Payroll.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Professional communication with staff at all levels.
• Maintains confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage Employee Data: process new hires, pay rate changes, and terminations in HR systems.
• Assist with Recruitment: screen applications and resumes, assess qualifications and provide hiring recommendations.
• Advise on Policies: support managers and employees with questions on HR policies and procedures.
• Handle Payroll & Records: respond to payroll inquiries and maintain personnel records.
• Support Employment Transactions: guide promotions, transfers, reductions-in-force, and classification reviews.
• Coordinate Recognition Programs: oversee employee events and ensure alignment with guidelines.
• Maintain Compliance: monitor files and risk documentation per federal/state laws.
• Perform Administrative Functions: prepare correspondence, data entry, and HR reporting.
• Interpret and Enforce Policies: educate staff on policies and workplace procedures.
