Job Summary

Assist with the new employee hiring process by collecting all new hire paperwork and I-9 documentation. Inform applicants about position details, including working conditions, benefits, and duties. Assist with the hiring process for new employees. Respond to employment reference and verification inquiries. Coordinate hospital orientation. Perform clerical functions such as typing, mailing, maintaining personnel and departmental records, and managing inventory and supplies. Complete reports and audits as assigned. Participate in hospital surveys, performance evaluations, open enrollments, and other projects. For information about benefits, visit UHS Benefits Service Center.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience: 2+ years in HR-related field preferred
  • Knowledge: Detail-oriented, independent worker, strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Typing 45+ WPM, proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, HRIS, and ATS systems preferred.
Supervision

Received from the Director of Human Resources or HR Manager. No supervisory responsibilities.

Working Conditions

Work in HR office and hospital areas, potential exposure to psychiatric patients, communicable diseases, and hazardous waste. Hospital environment.

Physical Requirements

Job Classification

Non-Exempt. Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of the HR leadership.
