The role serves as a resource to employees and management, ensures HR practices comply with laws and company policies, and handles records, audits, license tracking, required training, and timely communications on regulatory updates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR experience with demonstrated responsibility for HR compliance.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
• Experience with personnel file audits and compliance documentation.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee personnel records, HR documentation, and confidential information.
• Assists with onboarding and offboarding, including required forms, documentation, training, and certifications.
• Respond to employee and management HR questions and support employee relations matters.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Conduct personnel file and HR process audits; identify and address compliance gaps.
• Track employee licenses, certifications, required training, and renewals.
• Support employment-related audits, inspections, workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, and reporting.
• Stay current on employment law and regulatory changes and communicate relevant updates to management.
