Job summary

Alpha Supported Living Services in Washington state seeks an HR and Compliance Manager to lead HR operations, benefits, payroll coordination, and risk management under the CHRO. You will supervise the HR Generalist team, support onboarding, audits, and department program growth.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, at least 5 years in HR and training, and 1 year of supervisory experience, with strong analytical and communication skills to ensure compliant processes across the agency.

Qualifications

• Identify operational compliance risks and prompt corrective action.
• Knowledge of hiring processes, onboarding, employee development, and employment compliance regulations.
• Analytical and decision‑making skills to evaluate operational information and solve problems.
• Leadership to guide, develop, and assign work to team members while managing project deadlines.
• Experience with office productivity tools and the adaptability to learn new software applications.
• Verbal and written communication across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Team Supervision & HR Operations
• Direct daily activities for the HR Generalist team and ensure policy compliance
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and coaching
• Partner with CHRO to update procedures and set up administrative processes for new programs
• HR Compliance, Audits & Safety: manage records, background checks, certifications, and audits
• Benefits, Leave & Retirement Management: oversee benefits, Open Enrollment, and 403(b) program
• HR Systems, Records & Payroll Coordination: manage HRIS/LMS, reporting, payroll deductions
• Employee Relations & Cross-Functional Support: advise managers, investigations, and onboarding
