Job summary

Placements24 in Upington, Northern Cape, seeks an HR Compliance Officer to ensure HR practices align with South African labor laws. You will develop compliance programs, perform audits, investigate concerns, and guide management on ethical and legal HR governance.

Role requires a strong understanding of labor legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, POPIA) and experience in HR audits, investigations, and policy implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Law or HR or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience focused on HR compliance or labor law.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in HR audits and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies to ensure compliance.
• Conduct regular HR audits to assess compliance levels.
• Investigate employee grievances and non-compliance; report objectively.
• Stay updated on BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, POPIA; advise management.
• Prepare compliance reports for government agencies and stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver HR compliance training for staff.
• Manage the HR compliance framework and risk management.
• Advise on recruitment, equity, and diversity best practices.
• Liaise with legal counsel and external bodies on compliance in Northern Cape.
