Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Remote HR Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to labor laws and minimize risk from your home office. This fully remote position supports our organization in maintaining compliance across HR policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of South African labour law, perform audits, interpret complex regulations, and advise management in a remote setting with strong communication and independence.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in HR compliance or labor law advisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of SA labor legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA).
• Experience developing and implementing HR policies and compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update HR policies in line with SA labor laws.
• Conduct audits of HR practices to ensure compliance.
• Monitor changes in labor legislation and advise on adjustments.
• Manage compliance documentation and record-keeping.
• Investigate and resolve compliance issues and grievances.
• Develop and deliver training on HR compliance.
• Ensure accurate reporting and statutory submissions.
• Advise on B-BBEE, EEA, and other compliance frameworks.
• Liaise with legal counsel and external auditors.
