Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an HR Business Partner I to work with the HR team and Operations leadership to align business priorities with HR strategies and workforce insights.

You will be a trusted partner, translating people priorities into meaningful business actions while supporting leadership capability and employee experience initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate on merit and succession programs, performance management, engagement, and talent processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field, or 4 years of required experience.
• 3+ years of experience in HR areas such as organizational development, employee relations, talent acquisition, learning & development and compensation.
• Workday experience beginner preferred; basic knowledge of federal and state employment laws beginner required.

Responsibilities

• Partners with senior HR leaders to anticipate, assess and provide creative HR solutions aligned with business priorities.
• Assist with implementing and administering people initiatives and procedures (e.g., merit, succession planning, performance management, employee engagement).
• Provide consultation to internal customers on moderately complex HR processes and initiatives, coordinating with COEs as needed.
• Provide coaching and guidance on driving performance with HR leadership support.
• Assist with key talent processes including performance calibrations, talent review, succession planning, leadership development and talent assessment.
• Collaborate with internal customers and COEs to improve work relationships, morale, productivity and retention.
• Support high potential talent development and bench strength initiatives.
