Job summary

System One is seeking a Human Resources Associate to support HR across 26 locations from Hamilton, NJ. The role combines onsite and remote work, with responsibilities spanning recruitment, onboarding, data management, and HR operations.

The candidate should bring 1–2 years of HR experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information in a union environment. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and prefers Workday experience and a PHR

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–2 years HR experience including recruitment and applying Talent Management principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively on HR issues in writing and speech.
• Ability to handle confidential tasks in a fast-paced, union environment.
• Strong prioritization, adaptability, and resourcefulness.
• Proven ability to build partnerships with employees and managers at all levels.
• Good business sense, critical thinking, and results-oriented mindset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Workday experience is a plus; PHR certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication among HR reps, managers, and candidates to streamline hiring.
• Maintain transparent, timely communication with candidates throughout hiring.
• Keep a constant flow of candidates to meet staffing needs.
• Foster a positive candidate experience and professional association with applicants.
• Assist HR reps with new employee orientation.
• Develop understanding of union culture, values, and work environment.
• Generate internal reports, compile data, and maintain staffing records.
• Collaborate with HR, candidates, and managers to deliver HR support.
