Job summary

Northern Star Pogo LLC in Delta Junction, Alaska, is seeking a Human Resources Advisor - Leave & Benefits to support our Pogo operation. This full-time role reports to the HR Manager and focuses on administering employee leave and benefit programs, ensuring compliance and confidential guidance.

You will guide employees through onboarding, benefits enrollment, HRIS, and leave administration, coordinate FMLA, support workers' compensation, and help with annual benefits open enrollment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; an associate or bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• 12–18 months of relevant experience in administrative, HR assistant or HR technician role.
• General knowledge of HR practices, benefits and leave administration with broader admin responsibilities.
• Proficiency with office processes, systems and software; strong computer literacy in Outlook, Word and Excel; ADP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide employees through onboarding, benefits enrollment, HRIS, leave administration and workers' compensation.
• Respond to employee questions regarding terms of employment and company policies.
