Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Whitehall, MI is seeking an on-site HR Administrator to support a high-volume Talent Acquisition team. You will manage candidate activity, assist with onboarding, and ensure smooth processes across recruiting and compliance.

Responsibilities include ATS maintenance, screening, reference checks, reporting, and coordinating pre-employment steps. Strong organizational skills and discretion are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years office experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s in HR, Business Admin, or related field preferred.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the ATS with accurate candidate records and status updates.
• Manage candidate statuses, dispositions, and workflow in the ATS.
• Conduct initial phone screens to assess qualifications and interest.
• Perform professional reference checks for prospective hires.
• Schedule and coordinate walkthroughs for hourly production candidates.
• Coordinate pre-employment requirements (physicals, background checks).
• Prepare and maintain weekly recruiting reports.
• Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
• Support audits and maintain documentation for compliance.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
