• Handle supplied parts and arrange returns within three calendar days.
• Escalate issues through project support and HP Assist when directed.

HP PC & Printer Field Service Technician — Montana

Valen Solutions is building local contractor coverage for onsite HP repair assignments in Montana. This is onsite, assignment-based field repair work within agreed ZIP-code coverage. Hours and ticket volume are not guaranteed. Service area, availability, compensation and travel terms are agreed before assignments.

Independent technicians and local service companies are welcome. Companies must identify the actual proposed engineers and backup capacity; each assigned engineer requires qualification and applicable client approval.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair onsite using manufacturer-approved procedures, appropriate tools and ESD precautions.
• Coordinate customer appointments, arrival updates and the response window agreed for each dispatch. Share availability for next-business-day and same-business-day work.
• Document diagnosis, repair actions, actual service times, parts used, testing and customer acceptance in Fieldcode/OTTI. Report unresolved issues and the next action.
• Complete closure reporting as close to real time as possible, within 30 minutes after service completion.
• Handle supplied parts for the assigned ticket and place required returns in transit within three calendar days, retaining shipping receipts and tracking.
• Escalate technical issues through the project support process and HP Assist when directed.

Experience and readiness

• Two to three years of relevant technical support or hardware repair experience.
• Clear English communication with customers and project teams.
• Required onboarding and vendor training, appropriate repair tools and ESD equipment before dispatch.
• Successful required background screening and prior client approval before deployment.

Compensation and assignments

Compensation and travel terms are negotiated and agreed in writing before assignments. Include your requested per-ticket or hourly rate and travel expectations. Specific customer sites, parts logistics and response windows are confirmed per dispatch. No fixed schedule or statewide coverage obligation is implied.
