Job summary

Kforce is seeking a full-time PC/Printer Field Technician in Billings, MT. This customer-facing, non-exempt role provides hardware support for Laptop, Desktop, RPOS, and Workstation products, with Printer knowledge a big plus.

You will handle on-site service events, installations, repairs, and coordination with escalation teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma with hardware training, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent, plus additional hardware technology training; College preferred
• Alignment with customer's business needs while maintaining contractual commitments
• Ability to troubleshoot various hardware problems on printers; may involve third party software, networks and switches
• Balance and prioritize multiple activities and issues
• Understanding of financial perspectives on the business
• Strong interpersonal verbal/written skills; especially on customer sites
• Attention to detail and administrative responsibilities
• Business-based decision making; manage risk to meet company and customer needs
• Independent thinking while adhering to procedures
• Industry/company knowledge providing technology solutions to the customer
• Ability to evaluate a technical situation quickly while managing operational challenges
• Work independently and re-prioritize tasks quickly based on contract, customer, and business needs
• Overtime availability and participation in non-traditional workdays, holidays, and shift work
• Onsite customer facing experience
• Technical/mechanical hardware repair experience
• Aptitude for learning new technology

Responsibilities

• Provide hardware and related services to PC Products customers (Laptop/Desktop/RPOS/Workstation)
• Configure hardware, software and basic network components on customer sites
• Install, repair units and assist with escalation action plans
• Engage with HP and customer management to ensure satisfaction
• Understand and communicate the financial impact of delivered services
