Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks a Senior Counsel in its Commercial & Innovation Law group in Houston, TX. You will provide legal counsel on transactional issues across Hydrocarbons, Feedstocks and Energy & Climate portfolios.

The role requires JD/LLM, at least 4 years in-house or corporate/transactional experience, and US work authorization. Domestic relocation assistance may be available. Dow offers comprehensive benefits and a strong emphasis on development.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor or Master of Laws.
Minimum 4 years practicing as in-house counsel or corporate/transactional attorney.
Admission to State Bar or eligible for admission.
Must be legally able to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

Simplify and solve strategic-level legal challenges for clients in a global science-driven company.
Review and draft legal documents; identify legal risks and provide tailored solutions.
Host client legal training consistent with the department curriculum and risk practices.
Demonstrate strong negotiation and communication; manage time-sensitive demands.
Collaborate with a cross-functional team of legal professionals and business partners.
Communicate proactively with Legal leadership and clients.
Delegate work to paralegals and support staff to balance education and experience.
Manage outside counsel in line with department policies and risk appetite.
