Job summary

Catholic Charities Of The Diocese Of Oakland is seeking a Lead Housing Stabilization Case Manager to provide direct housing stabilization and case management for individuals and families facing homelessness or housing instability.

This role also serves as a lead resource to the Housing Case Managers, guiding case consultations, coordinating assignments, and supporting staff training, documentation standards, and program reporting across Housing Services locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, sociology, psychology, public administration, or a related field is required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in housing, homelessness, or social services preferred; five years if no bachelor’s degree.
• Progressively responsible experience in case management, coordination, or training is expected.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead resource to Housing Case Managers, providing case consultation and coaching.
• Coordinate case assignments and monitor workload across Housing Services programs.
• Provide orientation, training, and ongoing guidance to Housing Case Managers and Housing Intake Coordinators.
• Support program monitoring, QA activities, and timely program reporting.
• Develop, implement, and improve Housing Services procedures and documentation practices.
• Provide direct client services and manage a caseload aligned with lead responsibilities.
• Travel locally for meetings, outreach, and client visits as needed.
